Bobby and Page's Story:
Bobby Johnson began going to Kenya annually and semi-annually on mission trips in 2001. God began to zero his heart, along with the heart of his wife, Page, to Mfangano Island, Lake Victoria, Kenya. They saw the spiritually desperate people come to accept the saving grace of Christ slowly at first and then numbers started reaching the hundreds in each trip. A Kenyan pastor had a vision of starting camping ministry with the children to assist in discipleship. To deepen the ministry and with the blessing of their family, church and former ministry, New Life Camp, Raleigh, they started Interlocking Ministries in 2011!
Current ministry: Bobby and Page have seen thousands come to profess their desire to follow Christ on Mfangano (pop. 35,000) and the surrounding Lake Victoria area. We take small teams from the USA four times a year. We have discipled many to become pastors, start churches, visit public schools with the Gospel and lessons on sexual purity, assisted with children’s camp (800 in last year’s camp) held a marriage conference, pastor’s conference and trained church leaders how to follow up on the decisions that are made.
Projects in Kenya: December (summer) camp, Repairer Christian school (open to orphans), a scholarship fund, train widows in poultry keeping, sewing, baking and small business, beekeeping for Kenyan pastors, Future projects: water filters and mosquito control to improve health.
Our goal is to work along side of the Kenyan believers, interlocking with them as the body of Christ discipling them and assisting them to minister to their own people.
