This past Monday, over 90 players gathered to take part in the Tee It Up Fore Missions Golf Tournament at Hasentree Country Club in Wake Forest, NC. Light rain and overcast weather did not damper the enthusiasm of the players nor that of the many volunteers who gathered to help out with the tournament. The 4-man Captain's Choice Tournament also featured a putting and long-drive competition. The evening was capped off with a silent auction and dinner on the property.
This year's tournament raised over $20,000 with proceeds from the tournament going to benefit the mission efforts of the College and Young Professional Ministry of Bay Leaf Baptist Church. Portions of this year's proceeds will go to support four mission interns serving in Kenya, Moldova, and Toronto and will also provide partial scholarships to individuals participating in short-term trips.
The Missions Ministry is grateful for all of this year's participants and volunteers, as well as the generosity of the tournament's many sponsors.
